POLKA MUSIC TO CONTINUE BROADCASTING ON THE INTERNET

RINGLE, WI---Polka America Corporation (PAC), in agreement with Sound Exchange, will maintain licensing for polka broadcasters on the Internet under select criteria.  PAC will maintain licensing normally held by Sound Exchange for Internet websites broadcasting polka music, all non-commercial educational radio stations that broadcast polka music, and commercial radio stations that simulcast on the Internet who have more than fifty (50) percent station polka programming.

Bands/Publishers/Agents/or Representatives will need to go to the PAC website, http://www.polkaamericacorporation.org  to register music/bands they represent.  If music is not registered on the PAC website, any broadcaster that plays music which is not in our repertoire is subject to full scale fees imposed by Sound Exchange.

The licensing program for Internet polka broadcasting via the Polka America Corporation repertoire does not cover commercial radio stations with less than fifty (50) percent polka programming who simulcast on the Internet. Nor will the PAC licensing represent satellite radio.  Bands/Publishers/Agents/or Representatives may carry a licensing agreement with PAC as described above and can also carry a license with Sound Exchange for payment to commercial stations and satellite radio.

Polka America Corporation will not collect fees, disburse monies or charge for the use of the repertoire or for licensing.
